In the year 2000, Marge Rice began rescuing original old photographs with names on the back from antique shops and private collections across the United States. After researching the people named in the photos to verify names, dates and locations, she posts the data on genealogy surname boards in hopes of finding family members who will treasure the original photos. She's titled the operation "Faces From the Past" and has over 1,000 photos yet unclaimed.



As of December 22, 2012, Marge has successfully reunited 1943 photos with 1379 family members. That progress can be tracked via the "Marge-O-Meter" located at RestoringOurAncestors.com.
